I am a miniature landscape.
One of a seashore, of a coastline —
Forms to invite touch & arrangement,
Without any rules, just materials that respond.

Designed for a corporate environment, laden with work and pressure, drawing from the South Indian geography, beach in a box for free engagement.

Boats and palm trees, marquetry stones living on sand, Units can be placed and rearranged, Where materiality meets composition, to each create a distinct moment of play.

This project was one of two parts - zen boxes built for a corporate space in South India. The idea was to allow one to experience the breeze of a beach, the freedom - even while working for stretches of hours within four walls.
We first made islands of compositions, with trees, rocks and boats, then they were fixed into the structure, to be covered in dark sand.
The tools are also spontaneous and playful - lines, rakes, brushes - to create patterns, collect or even to let loose in moments of exasperation, this was a free space to engage and unwind.

I am stone, rust, and copper.
Coastline for the hands, a pause for the mind.
Move, lift, shift, or draw —
I am a small escape,
To touch, rake or claw.

Rocks crafted to feel real; brass foils allowed to rust, Palm leaves of copper sheets, allowed to age in green.
