I am a space observed,
Columns rising, roofs layered,
A swing suspended, diyas to light.
Proportioned to hold in hand,
Detailed to the finest sight.

A pause offered to a corporate environment, — a break from routine, a way to engage freely.
A study of Dravidian homes became composable units: columns, roof tiles, swings, courtyards.

Small observations of culture and language, diyas, swings and an open courtyard.
Brass vessels and miniature chairs — all in an ode to the architectural lineage.

This piece was all about tiny observations, how closely can we study and absorb the essence of Dravidian architecture, of South Indian family homes, and bring about their spirit in a zen box. Each detail was miniatured down to fit a palm’s length, and yet give the same feeling of awe and sanctity. The roof tiles, for example, made with bent copper sheets, were pressed to give the shape and then each tile was manually placed - following the same process of a true-scale architecture.

A courtyard of wood, brass, and copper.
Pots and diyas to be rearranged.
I am a pause from the corporate rush,
I am a miniature Dravidian world.

The world is fast and moving in rush, yet there is nothing quite like
The sanctity of your family home - an attempt to bring that feeling in workplace
A reminder of roots, of heritage within closed doors.
